Child Care Programs in Sioux Falls
Caterpillar Room: 6 Weeks to 10 Months
Each teacher is caring, loving, and passionate about meeting the needs of every infant in the Caterpillar Room. All children are held while bottle-fed, rocked, and comforted. Our teachers are very attentive to your child’s needs and communicate well with parents as progress is made and when they are ready for the next milestone. We will work directly with you when your baby is ready to move from cereal, baby food, and table food to ensure a smooth transition.
Butterfly Room: 8 to 15 Months
In the Butterfly Room, your child will participate in small groups for growth development consisting of art, sensory, and fine and gross motor skills. The Butterflies will go outside in the Spring, Summer, and Fall, weather permitting. They will go on walks in strollers and play outside on the turf on our playground! If your child has developmental needs we will address those individually with intention and strategy.
Penguin Room: 1 to 2 Years
In the Penguin Room we promote independence, self-expression, learning manners, developing clean habits, and most importantly, having fun! While following a structured routine, your child will grow friendships through developing personalities and inclusive group activities. We focus on building vocabulary, colors, and sensory, and utilizing fine and gross motor skills.
Monkey Room: 2 to 3 Years
Child-led learning is our focus in the Monkey Room. This means your child may freely choose and rotate between 3-4 learning stations consisting of fine and gross motor, art, sensory, and movement. They will learn about the alphabet, language, shapes, colors, weather, and the calendar. In addition to intellectual growth, your child will also begin potty training and familiarizing with using cups during mealtimes.
Kangaroo Room: 3 to 4 Years
In our Kangaroo room, your preschooler will follow a structured educational routine consisting of Word of the Week, moving and learning, literacy programs, and more to encourage extended knowledge and mental growth. Our teachers are genuine and caring, greeting each child in the morning and taking the time to get to know them. We also focus on talking through emotions and validating feelings as well as potty training for your child.
Owl Room: 4 to 6 Years
We’re here to work with your child on kindergarten readiness using DIG: Discover, Inspire, Grow. Children learn best through real-world contexts. DIG’s eight thematic units of integrated science, social studies, literacy, and math instruction help children make solid and lasting content connections. The predictable structure helps children anticipate what will happen next throughout the day and fully prepares them for the structure and routine of school.
We like to communicate
Communication between the Precious Angels staff and parents is important. Parents may talk with staff daily during arrival or pick up. Parents may also message the staff via the Daily Connect app or phone the staff during the day. The Daily Connect app is our primary communication and the #1 rated childcare app!
Meal Schedule
Each child will be provided with breakfast, a morning snack, a balanced meal at lunch, and an afternoon snack that follows the food guide pyramid recommendations.
